Where it says ENTERYOURPASSWORDHERE, delete that and type in your password you wish to use to open your flash drive.
Once you’ve copied and pasted that into notepad, save as Password.bat in your flash drive
(don’t put it under any folders)
Then, you go START+R and type in CMD.
Then, type in (THe drive is the letter with the colon that is assigned to your flash drive EX: J:, E:)
YOURDRIVE:
attrib Flash +s +h
EX:
E:
attrib Flash +s +h
Now, you need to put in the password to open your files. I know it’s a long process, but you’ll appreciate this in the long run. I use this for my flash drive, and it works great. If I made an error and it doesn’t work, post that.
i had done every thing as per above, but when im opening it & typing the password, its showing !pass! is not the password. Try again.
ReplyDeleteI had tried changing password than also same error occurs.
thanks for ur comment..i missed some text..
Deletenow i modified it..
now it's working perfectly.
so now plz..try again..and plz..comnt about ur successful result..
Delete:-)
the main point is one can delete the password.bat file!!
ReplyDeleteeven anyone can delete the password.bat no one can see your files.. Flash folder can't see by anyone but folder would be there ..
Deletethe only way to use USB after delete password.bat is format.
Even after deleting password.bat or even if we dont know password,we can access Flash folder by following process:
Delete1.Go to Folder options (Go to Control Panel and change view by: from category to small icons and click on folder options)
2.Navigate to view tab and under Advanced Settings find Hidden files and Folders and Select Show hidden files, folders and drives
3.Now uncheck hide protected operating system files (Recomended) box (A box will appear warning you, ignore that and click on yes)
4.Thats it...Now open your pendrive,you can find Flash Folder...(Works in Windows 7)
Harikiran @ bro...ur technique will worked only for system folders.it not works in this given procedure.
Deleteonce again check ur technique in usb flash drive after following my procedure.
this is a simple and fully secured process..
ReplyDeleteThe password.bat(notepad file) could not save into my flash drive.when i do this the following dialog box appears.
ReplyDeleteso what i do
first that password.bat should be prepare and save in your system and then copy it in your flash drive.Don't directly saved it in your flash drive.
DeleteI am unable to set password when i type start+r in cmd i am getting error but when i double click the password.bat file it is asking PASS: when i type the text it replying that it is not the password how to fix this issue please let me know
ReplyDeleteIt's really good and grt..
ReplyDeletebut how to un-set passwor..?
very simple..first open "Flash" folder by entering password.
Deletenxt unhidden it.then delete "password.bat" file.that's it.
if we press right click on the password.bat file and press edit button anyone can know the password. so not a good one
ReplyDeleteand if wewant to recover the file if password.bat is deleted then type
ReplyDeleteYOURDRIVE:
attrib Flash -s -h
EX:
E:
attrib Flash -s -h
it will unhide the given folder and give access to you without giving the password
